Tools
We have many tools at our disposal to search, research, discover, record and educate ourselves. You will soon discover where they are – with a little help from each other. (Don’t be precious and start writing books about what you discover, tell everybody)
We first need to keep an open mind and be inclusive. The common good is about commonality and keeping everyone involved as much as possible.
An important thing to look out for, is how things are almost always connected up.
We need to be able to keep more than one idea in our head at the same time. We need to learn how to discover these connections and use them to take ideas forward, connect issues and get people on board.
If we enjoy the process of learning we will also enjoy the process of teaching. Teaching is not about how much you know, but more to do with how knowledge can be shaped and be of use to the student. In the common good we are all learners and teachers. No one knows it all.
You do not need to be an expert to ask questions. You may end up an expert if you ask enough of them.
Albert Einstein, the famous scientist when someone asked him how he got started on a research project. Answered “I grope” So it is the same for the experts as it is for us.
Some of the nicest and most helpful people you will meet, work in public libraries. Libraries hold masses of information “on” the common good. In the library all you need is a question and a whole world of knowledge and help opens up to you. FREE (Libraries are part of the common good and the open university)
Is a collection of website’s, some American, and in a variety of topics and subject matter. The idea of these sites is to present ways we could go about doing things. Organisation and structuring ideas is much the sameāno matter what the issues or subject matter is. And we need to keep in mind how things can be connected and used to our advantage. How skills can be adapted and made useful to common goals and still kept enjoyable.

If you need to know anything please ask – site or content. (No question is “not” important). If you have knowledge, constructive criticism, please give it -
We know it’s not perfect – that’s why we need you.
